Elona Van GENT
BIOGRAPHY
Elona Van Gent is a sculptor who lives and works in Grand Rapids, MI.
Current exhibitions of her work include solo shows at Peter the Great Museum
in St. Petersburg, Russia (summer 2003) and de Amsteltuin in Amsterdam
(summer 2004). Her work is also part of an exhibition of rapid prototyped
sculpture that will open fall 2003 at Southwest Texas University and travel
to museums and university galleries in New York, Australia, New Zealand,
Great Britain, and Turkey. Her work is included in corporate and private
collections across the US. Elona is an Associate Professor of Art and Design
at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI, has also taught at the
School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Kendall College of Art and Design,
and served as 3d Area Coordinator for Siggraph Studio in 2002.
